Wayne Oquin receives his Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree (DMA)

In addition to being presented his DMA at the 2008 Juilliard Commencement Ceremony, Oquin was also awarded the Richard F. French Doctoral Prize for outstanding work on his doctoral document and the coveted Juilliard Interarts Award for particular sensitivity in artistic collaborations with all three divisions of the Juilliard student body—dance, drama, and music. For the first time in Juilliard’s history, this prize—traditionally reserved for an undergraduate—was awarded to a doctoral candidate.

Juilliard Joins Texas State for a Common Experience in the Arts -2008

Each year, Juilliard's dance, drama, and music students travel to the Texas State University campus for a collaborative performance directed by Wayne Oquin.  The theme for the 2008 performance was Water.
